Chris Choi
Inyani’s Head of Immersive Technology, Chris S. Choi, Ph.D., is an expert on digital culture content and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Writing her doctoral dissertation about the antecedents and consequences of discrepancies between actual selves and possible selves in virtual reality, Chris presented her paper, “The Impact of Avatar Appearance and Offline Identity Disclosure on Trust in Virtual Worlds,” at American Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS).
As a South Korea-based researcher, professor, and entrepreneur, Chris has taught graduate-level courses in digital games and undergraduate courses on User Experience (UX) design at various universities for over 10 years. She also successfully won several Korean government project funding such as ‘Global Strategy of Korean Broadcasting Content’ and ‘Case Study on Regulatory Sandboxes for New Businesses in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Industry.
Much of her current work focuses on the convergence between healthcare and entertainment in extended reality (XR).
